One day, I was watching MTV and I was introduced to the incomparable Meshell Ndegeocello.

My Brother reminded me a couple of years ago that on that day I told him we would create together and fast forward to almost a decade later of that actually happening. I was ELATED! That collaboration was many moons ago and I still have the fondest memories. Life is beautiful and always full of surprises.

We hadn’t been in contact for years (life happens) and I opened my inbox to see an email. Meshell was releasing her album, “Ventriloquism”. This album is the one of the most amazing compilations of covers I’ve ever encountered. A tribute offered by an artist that renders the same respect. Meshell’s email was touching and one I will never forget. She told me in that email that before the album release, she was gifting me her tribute of Tina Turner’s “Private Dancer” and that I could do with it what I wished. Thank you Meshell for this gift, the gift of you and trusting me. I hope I was able to express my thanks to you iconic artists through my creativity. Thank you.
